Murchison and Bilung Pool (Wednesday)

On the road by 9 this morning, it was a beautiful morning - not cold at all!

Glorious morning......

Sprung!!!

Who me?

The other way down the river.....

Our camp....

Their camp....

Both of our camps....... All photos previous are by Sonya - I was still in bed:)

The kids got another ride on the roof rack......

We finally got to Murchison River......

The roadhouse............

The cool emu's at the roadhouse........

The old dude in the garden......

He looks really happy....Not!

We went to the museum...... A really cool truck;)

Someone (Nik) said these were old fashion wool presses...... Not sure if he's telling the truth.....

Gorgeous mud brick museum. Just love the reflections in the window.

Check out my jugs....lol

Check out the little blurb in the visitors book....hello Dad and Mum Evans!!

A massive river crossing. Actually we were quite happy this one had water in it, cos we'd gone through several without any water at all.

Poser :)

Shana...contemplating life

We saw this most awesome tornado coming through...thankfully we were on the other side of it, so we were safe to take photos :)
Naa...just kidding, it's a photo of some random clouds.

Looking up from a dip in the road, just passed the river crossing.

Small pools above the Bilung Pool that we stopped at. Beautiful spot, but the water was rather feral for swimming, much to the kids disgust; they were hanging out for a swim. Actually we all were, it was quite hot.

Eating lunch at Bilung Pool, amidst all the midges. If you zoom in, you can see Steve scratching me with his stick.

More pictures of Bilung Pool.

We ended up settling down for the night along the Gascoyne Rv. This was the sunset we were blessed with!

That's all from us today.....
Love from the Evans' :)

Heading for Murchison...... (Tuesday)

We had a lazy morning this morning:) it was great to get up at 8am!!!!

Our camp site in the morning.......

The track out of here....... We were on our way round 10ish after a lazy breakfast......

First stop was at Meka station.......

It was really neat and tidy......

As we were driving away from the station, we saw some wild dogs hanging in a tree!! It was pretty gross but still thought I'd share.......

They looked like a cross between a dingo and a German shepherd.......not sure why they were hanging in the tree......

A few emu's were running around......

Rocked up at Wooleen, and there was an abandoned wool shed that we spent some time browsing around. It was really neat to see all the old rustic buildings....even a toilet with running water!

Check out the awesome cloud display!

This little building was funny....it looked like a little church with its own aerial.

This was the toilet (with running water!) door, which I thought was such a cool colour :)

An old building with a pizza oven (haha)

The old shearing shed.......

These little mud mounds are actually swallow nests, and were a spin out to look at...there were heaps of them under the old tin roof on the verandah of one of the buildings.

You never know when you're gonna need to wash your hands out here!!

These are those robotic cookies off 'Despicable Me' lol....

Aaawww cute :)

Man they were flying along the track....check out their hair!

Awesome clouds......

Murchison River....we stopped here for lunch and ended up camping there for the night....

Bush mechanics...... Soldering actually.....

The boys checking out the river......

There were tiny little guppies in the river...

Two peas in a pod.......

An awesome reflection photo by Sonya:)

Happy as Larry!!

Strike a pose... Nah she didn't know that Sonya was taking this photo...

The sun set was beautiful again....

Awesome colour contrast on the ghost gums.....

Nik pretty happy with his homemade BBQ...

Beautiful!!!!!!

The Berkelaar's had dinner around the fire, the sky came up with some beautiful colours which together made a cool photo....

That's all from us today....
Love from the Evans' :-)
