We beat our record!!!! We were on the road at 8:19!!!!! That's amazing!!!
It was rather cold last night again.....

Kade dancing around the campsite just before we packed up.....
One of the first towns we went through was Ravenshoe, which is the highest town in Queensland. It sits at 930 metres above sea level and is also home to the widest waterfall in Australia.

This is a photo of the falls.... That I didn't take because we didn't stop there....lol the kids were super keen to get to Cairns - don't know why.....?????lol

More photos I didn't take......haha......
From there we went on into the second highest town in QLD. Millaa Millaa sits at 821 metres above sea level. The kids let us stop here..... They needed a toilet break! Lol
We used the opportunity to mail some post cards and have some morning tea.

This is a statue they have in Millaa Millaa, and no he does NOT have his hand up the cows butt!!! He's pushing the cow to get it into the barn!!! That's how the story goes anyway......
We also stopped at the first Wind Farm that was built in Queensland. Ironically it's called Windy Hill. It was built in 2000 and can supply enough power for 3500 homes.

A wind turbine.....

The wind farm......
It was freezing when we got out of car so we didn't stay long and well.....we were NEARLY in Cairns!!!!!!
We stopped and had some lunch at the Mulgrave River Rest Area then finished the last 37kms and put the kids out of their misery!
The driveway to Brad and Michelle's house is quite long and steep, so we had to be Fairly crafty to fit everyone in..... But we did it !!!!

Now Brad and Michelle have not a lot of access to their own house, but it works quite well:)......
We thank the Lord for bringing us safely to Cairns, we have done 5800kms so far, and have had no serious incidents.
The kids were sooooo stoked to see each other again and have been yakking non stop since we got here.
Tomorrow is Aidyn's 10th birthday, Yay we made it!!!!
That's all from us today;)
Lots of love the Barramundi's xx
