The first town that we came to was a quaint little town called Hughenden.
The Muttaburrasaurus...... Named Mutt.... Original huh? Lol
They have found fossil remains of a Muttaburrasaurus Langdoni Herbivore, which they say roamed the shores of the historic inland sea, where the modern day township of Hughenden sits.
My whole family has cowboy hats..... And as of today so do I!!!! Flanny shirts one week, cowboy hats the next, what more bogan things could happen next week? Lol
As you can tell.... I LOVE photos..... NOT!!! Haha
From Hughenden we continued on our journey, stopping off to admire Porcupine Gorge

From there the next stop was Pyramid Lookout. Same gorge, from a different spot. There is also a campground just down from the lookout which has toilets etc.

We traveld on down the Kennedy Developemental Road, stopping for lunch at a gorgeous creek of the side of the road.
Kade HAD to try to catch something in his net while we ate lunch.....
Very peaceful......
We were hoping to camp at Archer River, for the night but the Kennedy rd was that rough that we could only go very slowly; which made it too late to reach Archer River. So we stopped on the side of the road, in a gravel pit again - a favourite of ours because it's a nice clear area and great to have a fire!
There was a huge pile of road base right next to where we camped so that kept the kids very busy for the remaining daylight hours...
