Alice Springs.....

We got on the road and started heading towards Alice Springs. A little way into our trip we were very surprised to come across a mango plantation and vineyard! Apparently they can access underground water for free here, hence the mango trees and vines.... They have 2000 mature mango trees, and plans for another 1500!!!!

We bought you some ice cream Mum; sorry but it started melting so we ate it - it was REALLY yum though......lol

As we were driving towards Alice Springs we were honored with a grand display from thousands and thousands of budgies, flying in flock formations, they all do the same things which is really neat to see!

If you look closely you can see the flocks of budgies flying above the trees.....

We journeyed on and came across the Aileron Roadhouse which is next to a small aboriginal community. They have an art gallery there as well as some huge statues outside, called BIG MAN WALKING.....
They were very well done. The lady and the girl were on the ground next to the Roadhouse, and the man was up on the hill behind it.

As it was getting towards campsite looking time, and we still had things to look at and get done, we decided to book into a caravan park (extreme yayness!!!!!! - LONG HOT SHOWERS!!!!!!) for the night. We stayed in the Wintersun caravan park, which was nice and clean, and a bonus for us - we were only two blocks from the toilet blocks!!!!
