Kata Tjuta ( the Olga's)

Saturday night was not as cold as other nights have been, so you'd think we'd get a good nights sleep right??? Well we were all nicely enjoying a good nights sleep when Kade woke up to go to the toilet (this is not unusual) he steps outside and then we hear a bloodcurdling scream.....Steve jumps out of bed and rushes outside - both of us thinking that he's been bitten by something - he'd walked right out into a dingo that was just outside our caravan..... It gave the poor kid such a fright that we couldn't get a word out of him for ages - and that's SAYING something - he never shuts up - not even in his sleep!!!! Well that was the end of a nice relaxing sleep.....
We had decided on Saturday that we were going to move to a different campsite today because where we were staying was pretty gross, there was toilet paper around everywhere, no where to have privacy (toilet kind of privacy) in general it was not somewhere we wanted to stay - we were just getting desperate for somewhere to pull up to yesterday because it was getting late.....
So we packed up and headed in the direction of Kata Tjuta.

We stopped off at a lookout (the sunrise lookout) for Kata Tjuta and took photos of Uluru ....... Still impressive from this far away!!!

Kata Tjuta from the sunrise lookout........

Driving up to Kata Tjuta is amazing also.....

Some of the AWESOME furniture that is at the lookouts........

Kata Tjuta up close.....

This is from the first lookout.....we decided to go on to the next lookout....

Someone's legs are a bit sore from climbing Uluru yesterday......(she was not the only one either.....)

Kata Tjuta means 'many heads' I think that this kind of looks like a chrome dome don't you????

More heads......

And some more.....

A cute little pigeon that was right next to the water tank where we filled our water bottles up......

And two more were sleeping in the sun under a tree.....

Some awesome colours.....

A gorge that we walked through...... Had to walk over rocky hills.....

This is what Kata Tjuta is made up of - it looks like smaller rocks all stuck together with cement.......

A piece that's fallen off - it looks like rocky road.....

The view from the second lookout.......one way.....

And the other way......
That was a beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon, enjoying God's beautiful creation. We ended up walking 5.4kms, which is pretty good seeing that Steve and the kids climbed Uluru yesterday. Now it was time to find a new camp and have church.

We turned down the road that takes us to the WA border where we found a campsite off the road and behind some trees..... A great little spot!!!
We listened to a sermon from Doctor J Smith from the Jubilee church in Canada, which was about that Hannah pays her vow to the Lord with joyful prayer....

We finally got a sunset photo of something......great job Steve!!!! (he had to climb onto the roof rack to take these photos)

Kade, as always mucking around with the fire........

A bit later I asked him to climb back up there because the horizon went blue.....it looks nice hey???? Thanks luvy:)

That's all from us today.....
Lots of love from the Barramundi's xxxx
