A massive hermit crab the boys found.......

I know the photo is blurry but I thought it'd give you some perspective as to how big it was....

a sea anemone.....I think that's how it's spelt.....lol

A big mud skipper that they found.....Aidyns hat was a good enough bucket they thought...... Not using any brain cells or realizing that Aidyn would need to wear that hat?????? Duh!!!!!
We did some groceries - just essentials mind you - the shop was VERY expensive!!!! A carton of 30 coke cans was $39.95!!!!! A small box of sultana bran was $7.90!!!!! I thought that Bremmer Bay was expensive but I think that this shop wins!!!!!

THE CROC TENT.........A great little souvenir shop........

Their pet crocodile..........
Our next stop for the day was at a beautiful place called Punsand Bay. This place is GORGEOUS!!! If we'd know ahead of time, I think we'd have stayed here!!

Welcome to Punsand Bay.....

Awesome beaches.......

Nice clear water.......

Cute little tent houses, all mesh house with a canvas roof and real beds.......
We took a 4WD track that took us from Punsand Bay to Pajinka (Cape York Tip) where we had lunch before climbing the headland to see the 'most northern tip of Australia' sign.

A massive Mud Crab claw that we found on the beach........

We had half an hour to have lunch because the tide was coming in........

View from half way up the headland to The Tip......

The first of many stone cairns that are on the way over to The Tip....

A plaque that shows distances to various places from the Tip.....

South end of Evans Bay.......

Savannah and Shana eager to get to the end......

Evans Bay...... We're famous and have our own bay!!!!! Lol

York island......

The last and the largest stone cairn.....

The SIGN!!!!!...... Yay!!!! We found it!!,

My dorky family:).....

Their dorky family.......

All of us.... Done by timer....everyone looks kinda normal - except??? KADE!!! Is poking out his tongue.......of course!! Haha

Our two......

Their four......

Our combined six Wally's.......

Howdy ma'am...... Steve was looking after Savannah's hat and Michelle got this photo.....lol looks like he's posing:)

Michelle captured poor Savannah copping a punch from an exuberant Aidyn..... All we need is a Biff!!%#@!! and a Bam!!@#* and this could be an Asterix and Obelix comic..... Sorry Savannah I HAD to post it.......

On our way back to the car it started to rain a bit harder... And being soooo windy we were all soaked - only on the left side though.....just as well it wasn't too cold!!!

In the middle of the bush appears an abandoned resort...... The story goes that it wasn't making any money so the owners just walked out.....what a pity because it was a beautiful spot!!!

Very over grown now, but would have been beautiful in its day......

Brad trying to make a booking but no one came to give us some service....

Next stop was Somerset beach......

Looks like a deserted island doesn't it? (apart from the footprints of course....lol)

Kids mucking around on some old post.....

The wall of junk!!! All sorts of stuff that people have signed and nailed to the wall.....

A REALLY tall palm tree.....

Nice monument......

These three cannons and one flag pole is all that remains of the entrance into the Somerset settlement

We did a 4WD track that entered and exited 5 beaches, all of them lined with lots of volcanic rock and other junk that's floated in from the ocean......

Nice easy drive on the beach....

Some of the junk and volcanic rock.....

On our way back to camp we passed Lake Wicharuru.......

Lots of reeds, but no croc sightings;(........
That's all from us today.....
