Pascoe River, Wenlock River, Bramwell Junction

We were on the road at 8:15.
The Pascoe River crossing to the Frenchman's track hadn't improved over night - how rude!!! Haha it still looked really gnarly and risky. The men walked the river again, but it still didn't look good.

In the end they decided that the risks out-weighed the fun factor so we turned around and headed to a different track. This one is considered the 'chicken' track but we're re-naming it the 'smart' track.
Driving on the wide graded road was a bit of a bummer compared to the 4WDing on the other track, but once we were past the Pascoe Station, it got better and was more fun:)

The Pascoe River crossing that we did..... Way safer:)

The kids trying out the river crossing........

Fun in the water........

Another creek crossing........
From there we also had to go through the Wenlock River..... Didn't realize that we would get another river crossing so bonus!!! This made us even more thankful that we didn't take on the Pascoe River crossing on the Frenchman's Track. We heard later on that some people actually got through that track, then got totally stuck in two huge bog holes over the hill!!!! Man I'm glad!!!!!!

The cars needed a wash BADLY!!!!!! So the middle of the river was a good spot to do that;)

Beautiful spot - the rocks look like reef.......

We lunched at the Wenlock River - different crossing - over a bridge this time :(

Just before the bridge we saw this in a tree.......(close up next photo)

How awesome is that????
We also had a look at the Moreton Telegraph Station. There was photos there of the station in the dry and in the wet - unrecognizable!!!!!!
Went and had a look at the start of the Old Telegraph track; the first crossing was called Palm Creek. AWESOME!!!!!!!! We are going to have fun tomorrow!!!

Some guy got really badly bogged there.......(broke his snatch strap trying to be recovered)

Bramwell Junction Roadhouse.........

The Number Plate tree...... The owner of the roadhouse collects them from all the cars that come through with their number plate not secured properly......

After watching them for a couple of hours, they eventually got out:) we decided to go camp at the Bramwell Station, where they have HOT showers, a bar where the men could buy a cold beer (they've been hanging out for one since we drove through a 'dry' community and on the side of the road up to and leaving there were beer cans on the side of the road.

The bar where they got their beer.....

Was a really cute little place.....

Our camp site......

Ours and theirs........

If you look closely, you can see the moon sitting just above the fence...... This proves that i was up EARLY!!!! It was better earlier but i was in line for the shower and the shower won over an awesome photo......

Thats all for today.....
Love the Barramundi's xx
